The Flip Bangle is ever popular due to its stimability AND its secret communication powers.  The design for this came from the requirement to make a product that looked quite cool and subtle. We drew inspiration from charity bands, they go unnoticed everywhere. They blend in. Charity bands would not withstand the level of chewing we see. The other benefit of a charity band is they are great to fidget with. You can squish them and play with them, making them by accident quite a nice stim aid in their own right. But they lack the strength required for our community.  The other design element Jenny wanted to incorporate was it could have a dual purpose, by making it different colours on each side, it could act as a ‘secret code’ to those around you. Allowing the wearer to communicate when they needed space without the awkward conversation or inability to communicate if beginning to feel overwhelmed. This bangle was so popular we have it available in bright colours for children, subtler tones for adults This concept is now adored by parents, partners, educators and professionals and makes this product an absolutely essential item in the Chewigem originals range.
